I apologize to those who are patriots and those who love sports, but, for me, the most beautiful thing of the Olympics was to have a sculpture of Anthony Howe here in Rio. Art has no need to win over anybody, nor to hit records, it doesn't need to prove anything; it only wants to enchant, because it is born out of enchantment. It doesn't have limits, neither starting nor finish line. It has no set time to run out, the sculpture stays there turning with the fire, the wind, inside itself, to whoever wants to look at it. And whoever sees it, at least while he is seeing it, is liberated from the limits of time, space, from the aridness of reality, the tyranny of causation, and is transported to another world, the world flowers or an infinite cosmos. A spiritual world, with no losers or winners.
